What is Stomp It Tutorials?
We attempt to give the best advice there is on how to improve as a skier. We teach millions of skiers over video and 100s of skiers in person at our exclusive Stomp It Camps. Here adults between 25 and 50 years of age get to learn to be better technical skiers, improve their freestyle skills and develop as freeride skiers.
How do I get access to the Videos after I pay for an online course??
After you have paid and checked out, you will receive an email with a confirmation. In this email click on the big green button which says ‘Download or Access Digital Product’. Videos will be accessible at the tutorials section https://stompittutorials.com/tutorials/
I purchased both beginner and intermediate but can only watch one of them?
Make sure to click on both big green buttons in the confirmations email from Clickbank which says ‘Download or Access Digital Product’. Videos will be accessible at the tutorials section at https://stompittutorials.com/tutorials/
Why can´t I download the videos?
All videos are for streaming only so you can quickly ‘skim read’ key points to remember to safely learn these tricks. We have chosen to do this for pedagogic reasons. Additionally, the our site works extremely well on your smartphone so you can access the videos easily when you are out riding.
Can I watch the tutorials on my iPhone/Android/PC/Mac/Linux or any other?
If you have an active internet connection, you will be able to stream our tutorials without issue.
Can I start learning from this videos if I am a complete beginner?
Yes you can but we recommend you know how to do solid parallel turns down a red slope first. If you do not know how to do these, try to learn from friends or even better go to your local ski school so you get a strong skiing foundation. This will help you learn tricks more successfully and also keep you and others skiers safe.
I HAVE BOOKED A CAMP - WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
After you have filled in all the details, you will be signed up to an automated email which will send you some more information as and when required. You can also contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any different requests or questions.
I DO NOT OWN SKIS - CAN I RENT THEM FROM YOU?
We do not supply rental skis, but all of the ski rental shops in the resorts we operate from do! Simply explain what you are in town to do (a technique camp for example) and your skiing level and the professionals in the shop will help you out. They know their stock and we do not recommend specific shops as the prices are all very similar. We like to do it this way to spread things out and support the local businesses in our favorite resorts.
AM I GOOD ENOUGH TO ATTEND A CAMP?
The important golden rule here is to be able to ski parallel turns on a red run – regardless of the type of camp you are on. Our coaches are professionals who have been ski-teaching for many years. As a result, they know how to differentiate their sessions and help everyone progress their own skiing – trust us! So provided you can link parallel turns on a red, you will gain a huge amount from attending!
CAN I BRING MY PARTNER ON A CAMP?
We actually like to avoid this, just so people relax and enjoy and develop a bond with the other people on the camp. If it is absolute necessary, we can usually facilitate but we think you will have more fun on your own!
I HAVE SEEN WE USE CARV ON SKI TECHNIQUE CAMPS - WHAT IS IT?
Carv is a tough yet sensitive sensor that fits between your ski boot liner and shell outer. It communicates with your phone via Bluetooth and provides feedback, both live and in numbers to review after, of key skiing metrics: balance, edging, rotary and pressure. It also calculates a Ski:IQ for you which we try to increase day by day and also cool data like how far you have travelled, how fast, how many runs and so on. We issue everyone a unit at the Welcome Meeting on the arrival Sunday evening and set them up for you, so bring your boots! If you have your own, feel free to bring it!
DO I NEED BODY ARMOUR FOR A FREESTYLE CAMP?
It is not essential, but we do recommend it! It will give you some confidence which will only help your riding and may save you a bruise or two! Impact shorts and spine protection is sufficient. Obviously, a helmet is essential.
WHAT TYPE OF INSURANCE COVER DO I NEED?
We will provide a lift pass with rescue from the mountain, but this does not usually cover helicopter rescue should an accident be serious enough to need one! Obviously we sincerely hope this will never happen, but accidents do happen. We advise all Camp attendees to explain what type of Camp you are attending (essentially piste skiing on a Ski Technique or Freestyle where additional cover may be required) to your chosen insurance company and ask for cover specific to that activity. It is worth checking the usual things are covered, like cancellation and lost luggage.
The onus is on you to ensure you have insurance specific to the activity.
SHOULD I TIP MY COACH?
Our awesome Coaches are paid for their services by Stomp It and tipping is not expected in Switzerland. However, if you feel your Coach deserves a tip, then please feel free! They all do rad stuff, like travel, climb, bike, fly and that stuff can be expensive! So you can be sure a thank you tip will be spent on their passions!
